- Check for fault codes on the Monitoring and Display (Instrument Cluster). Follow the procedures for any diagnostic fault codes.

Solenoid valve for the parking brake | |
- Disconnect the cable to the solenoid valve.
- Check the resistance of the solenoid valve for the parking brake between the two pins of the connector. The resistance should be 42 ± 1 Ohms at 25°± 5°C (77° ± 10°F).
- If the resistance of the solenoid valve for the parking brake is not within the resistance specification, replace the solenoid valve.
- If the resistance is within specifications for the solenoid valve for the parking brake apply 24 VDC to the solenoid valve. The core of the solenoid valve for the parking brake should move when voltage is applied.
- If the core of the solenoid valve for the parking brake does not move then the solenoid valve is damaged. Replace the damaged solenoid valve.
