(5) Torque for the six bolts ... 270 ± 40 N·m (200 ± 30 lb ft)
(6) Apply Loctite 7649 Primer N then apply loctite 271 to the threads of the bolts prior to assembly.
- Torque for the four bolts ... 570 ± 80 N·m (420 ± 60 lb ft)
(7) Clean the threads of the bolts with Loctite 7649 Primer N then apply loctite 271 to the threads of the bolts prior to assembly.
- Torque for the 12 bolts ... 300 ± 40 N·m (220 ± 30 lb ft)
(8) 32 bolts (16 each side)
- Torque for the 32 bolts ... 130 ± 30 N·m (95 ± 22 lb ft)
- After reaching the specified torque, turn the bolts an additional ... 120° ± 10°
(9) Lubricate the sealing lip lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed. Install the seal so that the sealing lip of the seal is towards the inside of the trunnion assembly.
(10) Bearing
- Outside diameter of the bearing ... 140.23 ± 0.13 mm (5.521 ± 0.005 inch)
- Inside diameter of the bearing ... 127.79 ± 0.13 mm (5.031 ± 0.005 inch)
(11) Inside diameter of the support ... 139.75 ± 0.05 mm (5.502 ± 0.002 inch)
(12) Outside diameter of the trunnion ... 126.80 ± 0.08 mm (4.992 ± 0.003 inch)
(13) Bearing
- Outside diameter of the bearing ... 324.13 ± 0.15 mm (12.761 ± 0.006 inch)
- Inside diameter of the bearing ... 305.79 ± 0.15 mm (12.039 ± 0.006 inch)
(14) Outside diameter of the pinion housing ... 304.75 ± 0.05 mm (11.998 ± 0.002 inch)
(15) Inside diameter of the support ... 323.75 ± 0.10 mm (12.746 ± 0.004 inch)
(16) Apply Loctite 7649 Primer N then apply loctite 271 to the threads of the bolts prior to assembly.
- Torque for the 12 bolts ... 240 ± 40 N·m (175 ± 30 lb ft)
(17) Apply Loctite High Flex GM to the mating surfaces prior to assembly.
