Parts Needed
Action Required
Parts Stock
Inspect the 1176170 and 1193369 Customer Communication Modules (CCM's) in Parts Stock. The serial number on the CCM will determine if the part should be replaced. The CCM serial number is found on the bottom of the mounting foot. If the CCM serial number is less than 10,000, or if the serial number does not have a yellow dot approximately 6.35 mm ( inch) in diameter next to the serial number, then the CCM should be replaced.
Affected Product
1. Disconnect the wiring from the B+, B-, Data Link + and -, and the RS-232 Port Connector on the CCM.
2. Remove any customer mounting hardware.
3. Install, connect, and test the operation of the new CCM (Reference SEBU6874 Owners Manual or LERX5107 Users Manual).
NOTE: Use 1176170 CCM for Diesel Engines and 1193369 CCM for G3600 Series Engines.
