NOTE: This Program must be administered as soon as possible. When reporting the repair, use "PI3836" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. Exception: If the repair is done after failure, use "PI3836" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.
NOTE: 1995 NACD mail code U-239 is not in order since it was added at Revision SEBE5589-01 in April 1996.

Certain Grand Banks and Eastbay Boats powered by 3208 Marine Engines with Twin Disc MG5061A Transmissions with the rubber block drive have the potential for the transmission to fail. A new coupling assembly needs to be installed.

Parts Needed
Dealers will need to order parts for this Program.
Action Required
1. Using a flashlight, look through the marine transmission housing vent holes to inspect the existing coupling between the engine and transmission.
2. If the existing coupling is a rubber block drive coupling, replace it with a 1325533 Coupling.
3. Replace the 7E6040 Input Oil Seal.
4. Place a thin film of sealant (Loctite 242 or equivalent) around the outer diameter of the input oil seal and press the seal into the bore flush with the outer face of the rear housing.
5. If the transmission fails before the coupling is installed, repair the transmission and include the costs of the repair under this program.
