Serviceability of Connecting Rod Bearings in Type 2 C175 Engines {1219}
- Generator Set:
- C175-16 (S/N: WYB1-UP)
- Engine:
- C175-16 (S/N: P6L1-UP)
Description of Change: The connecting rod bearings are now dual sourced.
Adaptable To: The change is effective with the following engine serial numbers:
- P6L01000
- WYB01000
- Install either the 383-8347 Connecting Rod Bearing or the 376-6457 Connecting Rod Bearing in any of the Type 2 connecting rods for the odd-numbered cylinders.
- Install either the 383-8348 Bearing or the 376-6458 Connecting Rod Bearing in any of the Type 2 connecting rods for the even-numbered cylinders.
Note: Do not mix the bearing halves between the different part numbers.
