Description of Change: New axle groups are available for the 267, 267B, 277, 277B, 287, and 287B models of Multi Terrain Loaders. The new axles are filled with oil. The new axles also use metal face seals. The new metal face seals help to extend the life of the bearings and axles.

The 261-6301 Idler Axle Gp (3) and two 278-1312 Plates (Idler) (1) replaces the 261-6103 Idler Axle Gp . The plates (1) are used for installing the wheels (2). The 261-6103 Idler Axle Gp is filled with grease and the 261-6301 Idler Axle Gp (3) is filled with oil. There is no change to the bogie axles in production. The bogie axles in production are filled with grease. An optional 261-6296 Bogie Wheel Gp (4) is available for field service. The 261-6296 Bogie Wheel Gp (4) is filled with oil. The new 261-6301 Idler Axle Gp and the 261-6296 Bogie Wheel Gp use a metal face seal. The 261-6296 Bogie Wheel Gp replaces the 261-6104 Bogie Wheel Gp.

The 261-6303 Idler Axle Gp (5) and two 278-1312 Plates (Idler) (1) replaces the 261-6107 Idler Axle Gp. The plates (1) are used for installing the wheels (2). The 261-6107 Idler Axle Gp is filled with grease and the 261-6303 Idler Axle Gp (5) is filled with oil. The 261-6297 Bogie Axle Gp (6) replaces the 261-6109 Bogie Axle Gp. The 261-6109 Bogie Axle Gp is filled with grease and the 261-6297 Bogie Axle Gp is filled with oil. The 261-6303 Idler Axle Gp (5) and the 261-6297 Bogie Axle Gp (6) use a metal face seal. The 261-6303 Idler Axle Gp changes and the 261-6297 Bogie Axle Gp changes are being put into production.

All of the above listed axle groups that are filled with oil use 0.3 L (0.32 qt) of 30W oil.

Adaptable To: The new axle groups should have a maximum rolling torque of 67 N·m (49.42 lb ft).

The new changes to the axle group are effective in production with 267B (S/N: CYC1393-UP), 277B (S/N: MDH4783-UP), and 287B (S/N: ZSA4030-UP).

The new changes to the axle group are adaptable to 267 (S/N: CMP763-UP), 267B (S/N: CYC1-1392), 277 (S/N: CNC1499-UP), 277B (S/N: MDH1-4782), 287 (S/N: CNY1-UP), and 287B (S/N: ZSA1-4029).
