New Format for the Version Number
The VIMSpc software has adopted the same format for version numbers that is used by the Caterpillar Electronic Technician software. Updates to the VIMSpc software will be released twice a year. The version number of the release will be the year of the release followed by an "A" or a "B". See the examples that are listed below:
2002A - This is the spring release.
2002B - This is the fall release.
Note: VIMS 2.X data button will no longer be supported in future versions of VIMSpc. Make sure you have imported all of this data prior to the next release of VIMSpc.
Enclosed on the CD is the VIMSpc User Manual (FEBJ0047) in PDF format. Caterpillar will no longer provide the user manual in paper form. The manual will not install on your computer during setup.
VIMSpc (2002A) Enhancements
Event Reports
GPS - Columns have been added to the report templates: Browse with GPS and All Data
Payload Reports
2nd Gear Reweigh - Columns have been added to the Cycle Basics with Fuel, Cycle Basics with GPS and All Data Templates.
Note: If machines do not have onboard software 9.62X and up there will be no data in this column.
GPS - Columns have been added to the new report templates for detailed Cycle basics with GPS and All Data.
Note: This report requires legal size paper for printing.
Carry Back - Column added for future onboard use.
System Preferences
A box has be added to disable all remaining resettable download boxes. If this box is checked after the installation of VIMSpc all the resettable boxes will not be viewed. This will override the normal default for the individual PC to not allow resetting of the resulting downloads.
