A new single air conditioner condenser fan motor is available.

The new 1DE3200 Fan Assembly Kit for the air conditioner is adaptable to the following machines with remote mounted air conditioning installed: R1600 (S/N: 9EW882-921), R1700-175 and Up, R1700G (S/N: 8XZ1-290), R2900-162 to 170, R2900 (S/N: 5TW1-340) and AD55 (S/N: ANW1-350). Refer to the following tables, procedure and the illustrations.

Procedure:

  1. Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

    (3) Machine wiring harness

    (4) Connector

    (5) Fan wiring harness

  1. Disconnect fan wiring harness (5) from machine wiring harness (3) at connector (4) .

  1. Remove four bolts (1) and the washers from lid and fan assembly (2) .

  1. Remove and discard lid and fan assembly (2) .

    Note: On all Load Haul Dump machines slots must be cut in the radiator guard behind the air conditioning condenser. Refer to the reference shown for the machine that is being serviced.

  1. Install new lid and fan assembly (6) in position. Install original bolts (1) and the washers.

  1. Install extension wiring harness (9). Secure any excess cable with cable straps after connection.

  1. Test the operation of the fan motor.

    Important: The direction of the fan must be clockwise. Air flow must be from the fan side of the condenser through to the opposite side of the condenser. Some early machines may require the wiring polarity to be reversed on machine wiring harness (3) .
