Setup Procedure

Usage:

RR-250B 3RR
If the control is changed, or if the control does not operate correctly, the operating parameters must be verified.

Use the following procedures in order to check the operating parameters, or set the operating parameters on a control that has been newly installed. Use the following procedures in order to check the operating parameters or set the operating parameters on a control that is not functioning properly.

Note: The "SETUP" mode on the controller has the same function as the "SETUP/RUN" switch on the control.

Functional Test of the Control Panel Switches

  1. Move the SETUP/RUN switch (8) to RUN.

  1. Press the "F4" button (13). Press the "F4" button until "INPT"appears in the display window (14) .

  1. Press"DISPLAY SELECT" button (7) in order to scroll through the menus. Test the switch that corresponds to the switch that is shown on the display. The display should show when the switch is moved to a different position. Refer to Table 1 for the correct values of the switches when the switches are in the normal power down position.

  1. Press "F4" button (13) on the controller until the display window (14) shows "RUN".

  1. If all of the switches are functioning properly, the machine is ready for test operation.

  1. Move the "SETUP/RUN" switch (8) to SETUP.

  1. In order to change the settings, press the "DISPLAY SELECT" button (7). When you press the "DISPLAY SELECT" button (7) The settings will be displayed in the LED Display (3) .

    1. The first setup screen shows the unit of measure. The control can be set to display English units or metric units. Change the units of measure by moving the "INCREASE/DECREASE" switch (6) .

    1. The second setup screen shows the language that the control is set to display. The control is set to English. The language of the control cannot be changed.

    1. The third setup screen shows the width of the spray bar. Change the width of the spray bar by moving the "INCREASE/DECREASE" switch (6) .

    1. The fourth setup screen shows the rate of pump flow for recirculation. Change the rate of pump flow for recirculation by moving the "INCREASE/DECREASE" switch (6). The typical flow rate is between 114 L/min (30 US gpm) and 151 L/min (40 US gpm).

    1. The fifth setup screen shows the rate of pump flow for cleanout. Change the rate of pump flow for cleanout by moving the "INCREASE/DECREASE" switch (6) .

  1. Move the "SETUP/RUN" switch (8) to SETUP.

    The controller is located on the inside of the operator console on the RM-350B.

    (13) "F4" button

  1. Press the "F4" button (13) until CAL appears in the display window (14) .

  1. Press the "INCREASE/DECREASE" switch in order to scroll through the parameters. As the "DISPLAY SELECT" button (7) is pressed, the following messages will be displayed:

    1. The top line of the first message shows the type of machine.

    1. The top line of the second message shows the status of the volatile memory. The top line must display the following message: "SAVE USER RAM: NO".

    1. The top line of the third message shows the status of the non-volatile memory. The top line must display the following message: "NON VOL VS RAM: BOTH SAME".

    1. The top line of the fourth message shows the number of pulses per foot from the speed sensor to the controller. The top line must display the following message: "SPEC SPL PPU: 50P/F".

    1. The top line of the fifth message shows the K factor for the flow meter. The K factor for the flow meter should be set to 191.2 pulses per gallon.

      Note: The K factor for the flow meter should be set to 191.2 pulses per gallon when you are using the 166-9070 Flow Meter. The K factor will be different if you are using the 144-6700 Flow Meter. The K factor for the flow meter is located on the tag that is attached to the tube of the flow meter.

  1. Move the "SETUP/RUN" switch (8) to SETUP.

    The controller is located on the right side of the operator console on the RR-250B and the RM-250C.

    The controller is located on the inside of the operator console on the RM-350B.

  1. Press the "F4" button (13) until CAL appears in the display window (14) .

  1. Press "INCREASE/DECREASE" switch (6) until the parameter that needs to be changed is displayed on the top line of the LED Display (3) .

  1. Change the contents of the parameter by moving the "INCREASE/DECREASE" switch (6) .

  1. Repeat Steps 3 to 4 until all of the parameters that need to be changed are changed.

Perform the following steps in order to store the changes to the parameters.

  1. Press the "DISPLAY SELECT" button (7) until the following message is displayed in the top line of the display (3) : "Save user RAM: NO".

  1. Move the "INCREASE/DECREASE" switch (6). When the switch is moved, the top line of the display will flash the following message: "Save user RAM: YES". The second line of the display will change from the following message: "NonVol RAM: DIFFERENT". The second line of the display will change to the following message: "NonVol RAM: BOTH SAME".

  1. Move the "SETUP/RUN" switch (8) to RUN.

  1. Press the "F4" button (13) until RUN appears in the display window (14) .

  1. Press "DISPLAY SELECT" button (7) in order to scroll through all of the parameters. Refer to Table 2 for the correct settings for each of the parameters.

  1. Move the "SETUP/RUN" switch (8) to SETUP.

  1. Press the "F4" button (13) until ENG appears in the display window (14) .

  1. Press "DISPLAY SELECT" button (7) until the parameter that needs to be changed is displayed on the top line of the LED Display (3) .

  1. Change the contents of the parameter by moving the "INCREASE/DECREASE" switch (6) .

  1. If more than one parameter needs to be changed, repeat Steps 3 and 4 until the parameters have been changed.

  1. Press the "F4" button (13) until "CAL" appears in the display window (14) .

  1. Press the "DISPLAY SELECT" button (7) until the following message is displayed in the top line of the display (3) : "Save user RAM: NO".

  1. Move the "INCREASE/DECREASE" switch (6). When the switch is moved, the top line of the display will flash the following message: "Save user RAM: YES". The second line of the display will change from the following message: "NonVol RAM: DIFFERENT". The second line of the display will change to the following message: "NonVol RAM: BOTH SAME".

  1. Move the "SETUP/RUN" switch (8) to RUN.

  1. Press the "F4" button (13) until RUN appears in the display window (14) .
