Piston Pump Flow - Test

- Remove the cover of output shaft (1) .
- Put reflective tape on the shaft.
- Test the hydraulic pressure while the emulsion system is operating. You can also check the pressure with water. Read the pressure gauge.
- Use a phototach in order to measure the speed of the shaft.
- Use the following formula in order to approximately determine the GPM of the system.

- Verify that the value from Step 5 is approximately equal to the GPM of the system on the control box.
