Personal injury can result from air pressure. Personal injury can result without following proper procedure. When using pressure air, wear a protective face shield and protective clothing. Maximum air pressure at the nozzle must be less than 205 kPa (30 psi) for cleaning purposes. |

- Raise the hood for the engine compartment.
Note: Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hood Tilting" for a guide to the proper procedure for raising the hood of the engine.
- Loosen breather outlet hose clamp (1). Remove hose (2) from breather (3) .

- Loosen breather inlet hose clamp (4). Remove the breather (3) and the O-ring seal.
- Wash the breather in clean, nonflammable solvent. Use pressure air in order to dry the element.
- Use pressure air to dry the element.
- Check the O-ring seal for damage. Replace the O-ring seal if the O-ring seal is damaged. Install the O-ring seal.
- Install clean breather (3).
- Install hose (2) on breather (3). Tighten hose clamp (1). Tighten hose clamp (4) .
- Unlatch the rod for the hood support. Close the hood for the engine compartment.
