Description of Change: The original retaining clip for the 179-9342 Hose As on the radiator has been changed. The new 5N-2840 Clip will allow the 179-9342 Hose As to pass through the opening in the grill.
The position of the 179-6118 Bracket that is located on top of the radiator has also been changed. The new position of the bracket will improve the alignment of the hose assembly through the opening in the grill.
Adaptable To: The new 5N-2840 Clip and the position of the 179-6118 Bracket are adaptable to the following machines: CS-531D (S/N: AGH1-200; 4MZ1-326), CP-533D (S/N: AFC1-302; 6AZ1-307), CS-533D (S/N: AET1-313; 5CZ1-360), CP-563D (S/N: 9ZW1-457; 5LZ1-308), CS-563D (S/N: 9MW1-692; 1SZ1-335; 2RZ1-509), CS-573D (S/N: CMK1-169; 2YZ1-184) and CS-583D (S/N: 2CZ1-169; 3GZ1-476).
The new 5N-2840 Clip and the position of the 179-6118 Bracket are effective with the following machines: CS-531D (S/N: AGH201-UP; 4MZ327-UP), CP-533D (S/N: AFC303-UP; 6AZ308-UP), CS-533D (S/N: AET314-UP; 5CZ361-UP), CP-563D (S/N: 9ZW458-UP; 5LZ309-UP), CS-563D (S/N: 9MW693-UP; 1SZ336-UP; 2RZ510-UP), CS-573D (S/N: CMK170-UP; 2YZ185-UP) and CS-583D (S/N: 2CZ170-UP; 3GZ477-UP).

- Raise the hood.
- Remove the existing retaining clip. Install 5N-2840 Clip (1) on 179-9342 Hose As. Position the hose assembly and the retaining clip toward the center of radiator (2) .

- Use one 8T-4177 Bolt, one 5P-4116 Hard Washer and two 7X-0613 Hard Washers in order to install the retaining clip to the oil cooler. Do not tighten the retaining clip at this time.
- Inspect the angle of the bracket (3) that is located on the top of the radiator. There should be 2 mm (0.08 inch) to 6 mm (0.24 inch) between hose assembly (4) and the oil cooler. If necessary, adjust the hose assembly and the retaining clips.

- Tighten the bracket and all of the retaining clips.
- Close the hood. Check the alignment of the hose assembly. The hose assembly should pass through the center of the opening in the grill.
