(C) Diameter of the rod ... 44.400 ± 0.038 mm (1.7480 ± 0.0015 inch)
(D) Bore of the eye of the rod assembly ... 45.20 ± 0.05 mm (1.780 ± 0.002 inch)
Note: Before assembly, apply 169-5464 Quick Cure Primer and 4C-4032 Bearing Mount Compound to the bearing diameter of the cap.
(1) 9R-7215 Bearing
- Inside diameter ... 45.450 ± 0.050 mm (1.7894 ± 0.0020 inch)
- Outside diameter ... 54.038 ± 0.025 mm (2.1275 ± 0.0010 inch)
(2) Torque for the bolt ... 1050 ± 150 N·m (780 ± 110 lb ft)
(3) Lubricate the sealing lip of the buffer seal assembly lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.
(4) Lubricate the sealing lip of the U-cup seal lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.
(5) Lubricate the sealing lip of the wiper seal lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.
(6) Before assembly, apply 4C-4032 Bearing Mount Compound to the wiper seal groove.
Note: Before assembly, lubricate the threads of the head with clean grease.
(7) Torque for the head ... 600 ± 130 N·m (440 ± 95 lb ft)
