Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Separate the track. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Track - Separate".

1. Use Tooling (A) (not shown) to raise the machine until the sprocket is separated from the track.

2. Attach a hoist and a suitable lifting device to sprocket (2). The weight of sprocket (2) is 80 kg (175 lb).

3. Remove 16 bolts (3) .

4. Remove sprocket (2) from final drive (1) .

1. Make sure that the mating surfaces of sprocket (2) and final drive (1) are clean.

2. Attach a hoist and a suitable lifting device to sprocket (2). The weight of sprocket (2) is 80 kg (175 lb).

3. Apply 4C-4030 Sealant to the threads on the bolts.

4. Install 16 bolts (3) to secure sprocket (2).

5. Torque the bolts to 900 ± 100 N·m (665 ± 75 lb ft).

6. Remove the hoist from sprocket (2) .

7. Use Tooling (A) (not shown) to lower the sprocket onto the track.

End By: Connect the track. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Track - Connect".
