Improved sleeve bearings are available for the 6T-6146 Gear Pump and the 6Y-5792 Gear Pump. The 6Y-5792 Gear Pump is used on the 793B Off-Highway Truck and the 6T-6146 Gear Pump is used on the 789B Off-Highway Truck. The 187-0671 Sleeve Bearing is a direct service replacement for both the 9M-4370 Bearing and the 9M-4372 Sleeve Bearing .
Note: The distance between the two bores of the bearing cups must be within the specified measurements. If the distance is not within the specified measurements, the cover and/or the assemblies cannot be reused.

There is a total of four sleeve bearings in the 6Y-5792 Gear Pump. Two sleeve bearings are located in the 3T-3706 Oil Pump Cover. Two sleeve bearings are located in the 8E-1389 Oil Pump Body Assembly.

There is a total of four sleeve bearings in the 6T-6146 Gear Pump. Two sleeve bearings are located in the 3T-3706 Oil Pump Cover. Two sleeve bearings are located in the 7T-5314 Oil Pump Body Assembly .
After the installation of the new 187-0671 Sleeve Bearings, check the inside diameter of the sleeve bearings. The inside diameter of the sleeve bearings should be a minimum diameter of 31.787 mm (1.2515 inch) and a maximum diameter of 31.865 mm (1.2545 inch). In addition, the joints of the sleeve bearings should be 30 ± 15 deg from the centerline.
