Description of Change: Improved track pins, track bushings, link assemblies, and track groups provide better resistance to galling and higher reliability of the track joint. The surface finish on the track pin has been improved. The surface finish and the profile of the internal diameter of the track bushing have also been improved.

The track groups that were produced at the factory have been converted. The track groups include the new pin and the new bushing.

Adaptable To: The improved track pins, track bushings, and track groups are effective with D9R (S/N: ABK516-UP; ACL699-UP), and 589 (S/N: 31Z504-UP) Pipelayers. The improved parts are effective with (SN: PB113E01-Up) Link Assemblies.

The improved track pins, the track bushings, the link assemblies, and the track groups are adaptable to D9R (S/N: ABK1-515; ACL1-698; 8BL1-UP; 7TL1-UP), D9N (S/N: 6XJ1-UP; 1JD1-UP; 5FJ1-UP), and D9L (S/N: 14Y1-UP) Track-Type Tractors. The improved parts are also adaptable to 589 (S/N: 31Z1-503) Pipelayers.

New pins may be used with former bushings. New bushings may be used with former pins. For optimum performance, use new pins with new bushings.
