CB22, CB24, CB32 and CC24 Vibratory Compactor Caterpillar

Assembly Procedure

1. Inspect all parts and clean all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new Caterpillar parts for replacement.

2. Inspect all seals. Damaged seals must be replaced. Use new Caterpillar seals for replacement.

3. Install washer (8) on plug (9). Install the plug in filter base (5) .

4. Install seal (10) on the filter base.

5. Install element (11) and ring (12) on filter base (5) .

6. Install seals (13) and (15) on cap (14). Install bowl (16) on the cap.

7. Install seal (17) on bolt (19). Install bolt (19) in bowl (16) .

8. Install bowl (16) on element (11), and tighten cap (14) .

9. Install washer (18) on valve (20). Install the valve in bowl (16) .

10. Install O-ring seal (7) on bladder (6). Install bladder (6), spring (4), guide (3), seal (2), and cap assembly (1) on filter base (5) .

End By: Install the water separator. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Water Separator (Fuel Priming Pump and Primary Fuel Filter) - Install".
