Installation Procedure

Note: Steps 1 through 10 are used for the installation of the rear striker bar.

1. Install Tooling (C) to rear striker bar (9), as shown.

2. Attach a suitable hoist and lifting chains to Tooling (C), as shown.

3. Use the hoist in order to install rear striker bar (9). The weight of rear striker bar (9) is 208.6514 kg (460 lb).

4. Install eight bolts (10) and the washers.

5. Use two persons in order to install the plate. The weight of the plate is 27 kg (60 lb).

6. Install 13 bolts (8) and the washers.

7. Attach Tooling (B) to bracket assembly (6), as shown.

8. Attach a suitable hoist and lifting chains to Tooling (B), as shown.

9. Use the hoist in order to install bracket assembly (6). The weight of bracket assembly (6) is 55 kg (120 lb).

10. Install four bolts (7) and the washers.

    Note: Repeat Steps 1 through 10 for the opposite side.

    Note: Steps 11 through 15 are used for the installation of the middle striker bar.

11. Install Tooling (A) to middle striker bar (3), as shown.

12. Attach a suitable hoist and lifting chains to Tooling (A), as shown.

13. Use the hoist in order to install middle striker bar (3). The weight of middle striker bar (3) is 350 kg (780 lb).

14. Install four bolts (5) and the washers.

15. Install three bolts (4) and the washers.

    Note: Repeat Steps 11 through 15 for the opposite side.

    Note: Steps 16 and 17 are used for the installation of the front striker bar.

16. Use a suitable hoist and lifting chains in order to install front striker bar (1), as shown. The weight of front striker bar (1) is 230 kg (500 lb).

17. Install eight bolts (2) and the washers.

    Note: Repeat Steps 16 and 17 for the opposite side.

End By:

1. Install the hydraulic tank guard. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hydraulic Tank Guard - Install" for the machine that is being serviced.

2. Install the swingout ladder. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Swingout Ladder - Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
