  • The brake cylinder (master) is sticking because of contaminated oil.

  • The brake cylinder (boost) is sticking because of contaminated oil.

  • The brake cylinder (master) is not delivering the correct amount of pressure.

  • The brake cylinder (boost) is not delivering the correct amount of pressure.

  • The differential oil needs to be replaced.

Problem

Service Brake

Too Much Force Needed to Push the Brake Pedal

Probable Cause

  • The brake linkages are damaged.

  • The pilot valve is sticking because of contaminated oil.

  • A restriction in the brake line is present.
