Description of Change: The new Duo-Cone seal groups have changed from an asymmetrical design to a symmetrical design. Also, the new Duo-Cone seal groups have two face band rings that are 4.3 mm (0.17 inch). The former Duo-Cone seal groups had one face band ring that was 6 mm (0.24 inch) and one face band ring that was 3 mm (0.1181 inch). The new Duo-Cone seal groups still use a rose colored toric ring and the toric ring is still made of a silicon composition.
Adaptable To: All Duo-Cone seal groups with the date code of 26July 1999 are of the new symmetrical design. Refer to Tables 1 and 2 for the following information:
- Truck model number
- Current part number
- Position of the seal on the wheel
- Position of the seal on the truck
