The Service Life of the Exhaust Heated Body Arrangement can be Increased by the Addition of a Joint {1061, 7258}

Usage:

D400E 2YR
Articulated Truck:
D350E (S/N: 9LR1-UP)
D400E (S/N: 2YR1-UP)

Reference: Manual, SEBD0512, "Service Welding Guide".

Description of Change: An additional joint can be installed to the flexible pipe assembly on the exhaust heated body arrangement in order to reduce torsional stresses. This will offer an increase in the service life of the tube.

Adaptable To: The additional joint is adaptable to D400E (S/N: 2YR1-UP) and D350E (S/N: 9LR1-UP).

Some of the existing components of the exhaust heated body arrangement must be modified in order to install the additional joint.

The following parts are required in order to complete the modification:

Table 1
Item     Quantity     Part Number     Description
1     2     176-6228     Extension Spring
2     1     7E-6455     Clamp
3     1     7U-5633     Joint
4     2     -     Lug
Use the following procedure in order to modify the existing arrangement.
