The 4C-5591 Anti-Seize Compound should NOT be used on the bolt threads. A light coat of oil should be applied to the threads of the bolt or stud.
Make the following corrections to Disassembly and Assembly Manual, RENR2534, "793C Off-Highway Truck Power Train", "Tire and Rim (Rear) - Install". Two notes call for the application of 4C-5591 Anti-Seize Compound to the bolt threads. This is incorrect. Correct the fifth note before Step 1 with the following note.
Note: Before installing the tires and rims, apply a light coat of oil to the threads of the bolts (6) .
Correct the note after Step 5 with the following note.
Note: During the installation of the nuts (8), apply a thin coat of oil to the threads of the studs (9). Use Tool (B) to torque the nuts (8) to 1000 ± 125 N·m (738 ± 92 lb ft).
Make the correction to Disassembly and Assembly Manual, SENR1463, "793C Off-Highway Truck Machine Systems", "Front Tire and Rim - Remove and Install". The note that calls for the application of 4C-5591 Anti-Seize Compound to the bolt threads is incorrect. Correct the note before Step 1 of the installation procedure with the following note.
Note: Before installing the tires and rims, apply a light coat of oil to the bolt threads.
