Screed Cleanup

Usage:

Note: Check the local regulations for the use of solvents and cleaners.

Manual Burner Control

  1. Stop the machine on level ground. Stop the machine in an area away from the mat. If it is necessary to park the machine on a grade, block the tires securely.

    Note: When you use the fuel spray hose, do not spray the fuel on the following components: hydraulic hoses, electrical connections and electrical cables.

  1. Connect the spraydown hose to the fuel line connection. Open the fuel control valve.

    With each use, the fuel spray hose will need to be connected or disconnected. If the machine is equipped with a hose reel, open the access cover on the right side of the machine. Pull out the necessary amount of hose.

  1. Move the screed fuel pump switch to the Spraydown position .

  1. Pull the trigger in order to start the spraydown. Release the trigger in order to stop the spraydown.

  1. Spray the entire auger conveyor in order to clean the auger. Spray the auger in order to lubricate the auger. Clean the front of the screed and the bottom of the screed.

    ------ WARNING! ------

    The screed could fall. In order to avoid possible personal injury, extend the screed travel locks whenever the screed is raised.

  1. Disconnect the spraydown hose when machine cleanup is complete. If the machine is equipped with a hose reel, return the spraydown hose to the side compartment. Close and secure the access cover.

Automatic Burner Control

  1. Stop the machine on level ground. Stop the machine in an area away from the mat. If it is necessary to park the machine on a grade, block the tires securely.
