Do not crank the engine for more than 30 seconds. Allow the starter to cool for two minutes before cranking again. Turbocharger damage can result, if the engine rpm is not kept low until the engine oil pressure indicator goes out, verifying the engine oil pressure is sufficient. Key must be in run position with engine running to maintain electrical and hydraulic functions and prevent serious machine damage. If the engine does not start, return the key to OFF before returning it to START. |

Open the access cover on the left side of the machine. Turn on the battery disconnect switch.

Check the propel lever. The propel lever must be in the NEUTRAL position.
Check the parking brake. The parking brake must be in the ON position.

Set the throttle switch to SLOW idle.
Turn the engine start switch to the START position until the engine starts. Release the switch when the engine starts.
Note: The starter motor and the flywheel must have stopped turning before engaging the starter again.
Allow the engine to idle for three to five minutes before operating the machine.
