Illustration 1 | g00891588 |
The bogie is shown in the raised position. |
The normal operation of the front bogies is in the floating position. The front bogies can be raised so that the machine can travel over small obstacles and in deep snow.
Hydraulic cylinders are located on the rear of the front bogies. These cylinders extend in order to lower the rear of the front bogies. Lowering the rear of the bogies will raise the front of the bogies.
Note: The rear bogies will float with the contour of the ground. The rear bogies are not lifted with cylinders. The rear bogies are not lowered with cylinders.
Illustration 2 | g00871830 |
Under normal operation, the switches (2) are in the floating position. The front bogies will follow the contour of the ground.
Joystick controls (1) are located next to the right armrest. The controls can be moved forward and backward. Pushing the control forward will lower the front of the bogie. Pulling the control backward will raise the front of the bogie. The left bogie and the right bogie can be moved independently of each other. Switches (2) must be in the ON position in order to use the joysticks.
In order to activate the hydraulic bogie lift, switches (2) must be put in the lock position. The cylinders are now locked. The bogies can now be controlled by joysticks (1) .
The front bogies can also float with the contour of the ground. This will allow both tires on each bogie to stay in contact with the ground. Switches (2) are located behind joystick controls (1). Press the rear of the switches in order to allow the bogies to float with the contour of the ground.
Each switch has a lock that prevents accidental movement of the switches. The lock is a small button on the top front of the switch. To activate the lock, pull the button backward as the rear of the switch is depressed.
If the lock button is activated and the engine is shut off, the lock will remain activated. Whenever one of the disconnect switches is turned off, the bogies will automatically float regardless of the switch position.
Note: Do not press the switches when the bogies are raised. This will cause the bogies to lower rapidly to the ground.
