Assembly Procedure

Note: Thoroughly clean all parts prior to assembly. Lubricate all parts prior to assembly.

1. Heat bearing (42) to a maximum temperature of 135°C (275°F). Install bearing (42) on shaft (38). Install snap ring (41).

2. Use Tooling (A) to install two lip seals (40) in the pump body.

3. Install spacer (39) in the pump body.

4. Install the shaft and bearing assembly (38) in pump body (20). Install retaining ring (37) and O-ring (36).

5. Install ten vanes (35) in rotor assembly (34). Install the leading edge of the vanes toward the direction of travel.

6. Install rotor assembly (34) in ring (28).

7. Use Tooling (A) to install bushing (33) in plate (30).

8. Install O-rings (31) in retainers (32).

9. Install the seal assemblies in plate (26) and plate (30).

   Note: Make sure that the bronze faces of plate (27) and plate (29) are facing toward the rotor.

10. Assemble plate (26), plate (27), ring (28), plate (29) and plate (30).

11. Install two bolts (25). Tighten bolts (25) to a torque of 17 ± 1 N·m (13 ± 1 lb ft).

12. Install ring (22), O-ring (23) and ring (24) on cartridge assembly (21).

13. Install cartridge assembly (21) in body (20).

14. Use Tooling (B) and a hoist to install pump housing (6) on body (20). Make sure that the holes in the case align with the dowels in the cartridge.

15. Install four bolts (19). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 359 ± 14 N·m (265 ± 10 lb ft).

16. Install ten vanes (18) in rotor assembly (17). Install the leading edge of the vanes toward the direction of travel.

17. Install rotor assembly (17) in ring (12).

18. Install the O-ring seals (15) in the retainers (16).

19. Install the seal assemblies in plates (14) and (10).

20. Assemble plate (10), plate (11), rotor (12), plate (13) and plate (14).

21. Install two bolts (9). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 6 ± 0.5 N·m (4 ± 0.3 lb ft).

22. Install O-ring seal (7) and ring (8) in cartridge assembly (5).

23. Install cartridge assembly (5) in pump housing (6). Make sure that the holes in the case align with the dowel pins in the cartridge.

24. Install O-ring seal (3) and ring (4).

25. Install cover (2) and bolts (1). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 95 ± 7 N·m (70 ± 5 lb ft).

End By:

1. Install the implement hydraulic pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Vane Pump (Implement) - Install".
