Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the drive shaft guard. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Drive Shaft Guard - Remove and Install".

1. Remove four bolts (1) and the washers.

2. Remove four bolts (3) and the washers.

3. Remove drive shaft (2). Place drive shaft (2) on a suitable bench.

4. Remove four bolts (4) and the washers. Remove universal joint (5) from drive shaft (2).

5. Remove four bolts (7) and the washers. Remove universal joint (6) from drive shaft (2).

Installation Procedure

1. Use four bolts (7) and the washers in order to install universal joint (6) onto drive shaft (2). Tighten four bolts (7) to a torque of 55 ± 10 N·m (40.6 ± 7.4 lb ft).

2. Use four bolts (4) and the washers in order to install universal joint (5) onto drive shaft (2). Tighten four bolts (4) to a torque of 55 ± 10 N·m (40.6 ± 7.4 lb ft).

3. Use four bolts (3) and the washers in order to install drive shaft (2). Tighten four bolts (3) to a torque of 55 ± 10 N·m (40.6 ± 7.4 lb ft).

4. Install four bolts (1) and the washers. Tighten four bolts (1) to a torque of 55 ± 10 N·m (40.6 ± 7.4 lb ft).

End By:

1. Install the drive shaft guard. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Drive Shaft Gaurd - Remove and Install".
