Cooling System Relief Valve - Clean

Usage:

The relief valve is located under the front engine cover.

If the system overheats or if coolant is leaking, clean the relief valve or replace the relief valve.

  1. Loosen the radiator cap slowly in order to relieve pressure. Remove the radiator cap.

  2. Remove the bolts from the valves and remove the valve assembly.

    (1) Valve
    (2) Valve seal
    (3) Gaskets
    (4) Valve cover
    (5) Mounting bolts

  3. Inspect valve (1), valve seal (2) and gaskets (3). If necessary, replace the valve, the seal or the gaskets.

  4. Inspect valve cover (4) and mounting bolts (5).

  5. Assemble the relief valve assembly and install the relief valve assembly.

  6. Install the radiator cap.
