Winch Control Valve - Assemble

NOTICE

Make sure that all of the parts of the control valve are thoroughly clean. Remove any scratches from the components with polishing paper or an oil stone. Check the condition of all of the O-ring seals and the springs. Use new parts if any of the parts are worn or damaged. Put clean oil on the components as each one is installed. Make sure each component is in the original location.

  1. Use Tool (B) and install lip seals (56) in valve body (10). Install the seals with the spring loaded lip toward the inside of the valve body. Lubricate the sealing lips of seals (56) with a light film of oil.

  1. If necessary, put the check ball in check valve (53) and install pin (55) .

  1. Install O-ring seal (54) on check valve (53) .

  1. Put clean oil on check valve (53) and install the check valve in valve body (10) .

  1. Install O-ring seal (52) on stop (49). Put clean oil on the O-ring seal.

  1. Install stop (49), spring (50) and valve (51) in valve body (10).

  1. Install O-ring seal (48) on stop (45). Put clean oil on the O-ring seal.

  1. Install stop (45), spring (46) and valve (47) in valve body (10).

  1. Install shims (43) and spring (42) on valve (44) and install the valve assembly in relief valve body (38) .

  1. Put clean oil on stop (41) and install the stop in relief valve body (38) over spring (42) and valve (44) .

  1. Push stop (41) against spring (42). Use Tool (A) and install snap ring (40). Make sure that the snap ring is in the seat in relief valve body (38) .

  1. Install O-ring seal (39) on relief valve body (38). Put clean oil on the O-ring seal.

  1. Install relief valve (38) in valve body (10) .

  1. Install bolt (33), washer (34), stop (35), spring (36) and stop (37) on valve spool (27) in order to install the spring centering mechanism.

  1. Install bolt (28), washer (29), stop (30), spring (31) and stop (32) on valve spool (26) in order to install the spring centering mechanism.

  1. Put clean oil on valve spool (27) and install the spool in valve body (10) in the original location. Do not hit or use force on the spool during installation.

  1. Put clean oil on valve spool (26) and install the spool in valve body (10) in the original location. Do not hit or use force on the spool during installation.

  1. Install O-ring seals (25) on cover (24) .

  1. Install cover (24) on valve body (10) .

  1. Install tube assembly (23) on valve body (10) .

  1. Put clean oil on piston (21) and install the piston in valve (10) .

  1. Install O-ring seal (22) on plug (20) and put clean oil on the O-ring seal. Install the plug in valve body (10) .

  1. Install O-ring seal (16) on plug (19) and put clean oil on the O-ring seal.

  1. Install springs (18) and (17) and plug (19) in valve body (10) .

  1. Install shims (13) and spring (12) on valve (14) .

  1. Put spring (12), shims (13) and valve (14) in valve body (10) .

  1. Install O-ring seal (15) on stop (11) and put clean oil on the O-ring seal. Install stop (11) in valve body (10) .

  1. Install a new O-ring seal on stop (6) and put clean oil on the O-ring seal. Install stop (11) in valve body (10) .

  1. Install shims (7) and spring (8) on stop (6) .

  1. Install valve (9) on spring (8) and install valve (9), spring (8), shims (7) and stop (6) in valve body (10) .

  1. Install two O-ring seals in housing (3). Put the housing in position on the winch control valve and install two bolts (4) .

  1. Install end (5) on each of the two valve spools.

  1. Put the gasket and control valve lever assembly (2) in position on the winch control valve and install three bolts (1) .

End By: Install the winch control valve.
