Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Separate the track.

Personal injury can result from performing service on the track roller frame. Refer to Special Instruction, SMHS8273 for inspection and removal procedures before performing any service.

1. Position Tooling (A) under the front of the machine or the rear of the machine in order to remove the desired idler. Use Tooling (A) in order to raise the front or the rear of the machine.

2. Attach a suitable lifting device to idler (1) . Remove bolts (4) , the washers, and cap (3) from each side of idler (1) . Remove block (2) .

3. Remove idler (1) . The weight of idler (1) is approximately 363 kg (800 lb).
