Start By:

  1. Remove the piston pump from the engine. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Piston Pump (Brake) - Remove".

  1. Remove O-ring seal (1) from piston pump (2). Remove four bolts (3) that secure the pressure compensator valve to the piston pump.

  2. Remove three O-ring seals (4) between the pressure compensator valve and the piston pump.

  3. Use retaining ring pliers (A) to remove retaining ring (5).

  4. Remove four bolts (6) that secure cover (7) to the piston pump. Place the cover aside.

    Note: Cover (7) compresses a spring. Remove the cover slowly.

  5. Use driver group (B) to remove shaft seal (8) from cover (7).

  6. Remove gasket (9) from the piston pump.

  7. Remove spring (10) and collar (11) from the piston pump.

  8. Remove four bolts (12) that secure cover (13) to the housing.

  9. Separate cover (13) and housing (14). Remove clip (15). Remove the chain link.

  10. Remove housing (14) and the piston pump from cover (13). Remove gasket (16) from the cover.

  11. Remove shaft (17) from the piston pump.
