Troubleshooting - Implement Hydraulic System

Usage:

65E 1GM

The Complete Hydraulic System Does Not Operate

Table 1
The Complete Hydraulic System Does Not Operate.
Cause     Solution
The hydraulic system oil level is low.     Check the hydraulic system oil level. If the oil level is low, add oil.
The hydraulic oil filters are restricted.     Replace the hydraulic oil filters.
The hydraulic system is malfunctioning.     Consult any CLAAS dealer.

The Hydraulic Oil Overheats

Table 2
The Hydraulic Oil Overheats.
Cause     Solution
The hydraulic system oil level is low or the hydraulic system oil level is high.     Check the hydraulic system oil level. If necessary, adjust the oil level.
The radiator screen, the oil cooler, or the radiator is plugged.     Clean the radiator screen, the oil cooler, and the radiator.
The hydraulic oil filters are plugged.     Replace the hydraulic oil filters.
The flow control is not properly adjusted.     Adjust the flow control in order to lower the flow.
The hydraulic load or the hydraulic motor is not matched to the machine.     Consult any CLAAS dealer.

The Hoses Will Not Couple

Table 3
The Hoses Will Not Couple.
Cause     Solution
You are using the incorrect male connectors.     Replace the connectors with SAE standard connectors or with ISO standard connectors. These connectors are available from any CLAAS dealer.

The Implement Valve Detent Disengages Prematurely

Table 4
The Implement Valve Detent Disengages Prematurely.
Cause     Solution
The detent kickout pressure is set too low.     Adjust the detent kickout pressure.
The hydraulic hoses are too small.     Use hoses that have a larger diameter.
The flow controls are not set properly.     Turn the flow controls to the proper setting.

The Remote Attachment Does Not Operate

Table 5
The Remote Attachment Does Not Operate.
Cause     Solution
The hoses are not completely connected.     Correctly attach the hoses.
The hydraulic load exceeds the capacity of the system.     Reduce the hydraulic load or use the correct size of cylinder.
The lockout is restricting the movement of the implement control lever.     Reposition the lockout.

The Implement Raises Too Slowly or the Implement Lowers Too Slowly

Table 6
The Implement Raises Too Slowly or the Implement Lowers Too Slowly.
Cause     Solution
The flow controls are not set properly.     Turn the flow controls to the proper setting.
The hydraulic load exceeds the capacity of the system.     Reduce the hydraulic load or use the correct size of cylinder.
