(3) Rear oil seal
When the rear oil seal is installed, put engine oil on the lip of the seal. The rear oil seal is correctly installed when the seal face extends 1.5 mm (0.06 inch) from the rear face of the cylinder block.
(4) Diameter of the bore in the cylinder block for the number one journal of the camshaft front bearing ... 51.84 to 51.87 mm (2.041 to 2.042 inch)
Note: Ensure that the oil holes in the bearing are aligned with the oil holes in the cylinder block.
Diameter of the bore in the cylinder block for numbers two, three, four and five journals of the camshaft ... 48.025 to 48.050 mm (1.8907 to 1.8917 inch)
(5) Camshaft front bearing
(6) Diameter of bores in cylinder block for main bearings ... 69.000 to 69.019 mm (2.7165 to 2.7173 inch)
(7) Tighten the bolts for the main bearing caps to the following torque. ... 147 N·m (108 lb ft)
Note: Apply a small amount of 8T-9022 Silicone Gasket to the corners of the cylinder block for the rear main bearing cap. After the rear main bearing cap is installed, remove any excess sealant from the inside of the recess for the rear oil seal. Excess sealant prevents the correct seating of the rear oil seal.

(9) Numbers 2 through 4 main bearing caps have an arrow and a number. The arrow points to the front of the engine. The number indicates the position.
(10) The front main bearing cap is number 1.

(11) Seal for the front and rear main bearing caps.
(12) The seals for the front and the rear main bearing caps have a curve at one end. The curved side must be installed toward the side of the engine. The curved end is inserted first into the hole.
(13) Before installing the seals, inject a small quantity of 8T-9022 Silicone Gasket in the holes for the seals.
