------ WARNING! ------

With the engine running, this machine spot turns when the steering wheel is turned, even with the transmission in NEUTRAL and the parking brake engaged.

To avoid personal injury due to unexpected machine movement, make sure the area is free of personnel before starting the engine.

Be prepared to apply the service brakes to counteract any steering that might occur when the engine starts.

----------------------

NOTICE

Do not engage the parking brake while the machine is moving unless the primary service brake fails. The use of the parking brake as a service brake in regular operation will cause severe damage to the brake system.

Raise lever (1) in order to engage the parking brake for the drive line. Use the parking brake in order to hold the machine stationary. Also, use the parking brake as a secondary brake system. Use the parking brake if the service brakes are malfunctioning.

The parking brake is located ahead of the differential steering unit. Therefore, the parking brake does not prevent the machine from turning when the steering wheel is turned. Also, the drive train can overcome the braking force of the parking brake in the lower gears.

Always stop the engine and engage the parking brake before you leave the machine. If an implement is attached to the three-point hitch, rotate the draft/position control knob fully in the counterclockwise direction in order to place the hitch in the position control detent.

In order to disengage the parking brake, use the following procedure:

  1. Slightly lift lever (1) .

  1. Push in the button.

  1. Then, lower the handle all the way.

Note: A sensor that is located in the seat detects an operator. When the operator leaves the seat with the engine start switch in the ON position and the parking brake released, an alarm will sound and the parking brake lamp will flash. The alarm will sound until the following conditions are met. The operator returns to the seat or the parking brake is engaged. The alarm will sound for a maximum of two minutes.

Note: The transmission will not engage while the parking brake is applied. A "P" flashes in the transmission gear display of the Electronic Monitoring Center. The parking brake lamp will also flash. An alarm will sound for a duration of one second. Return the transmission control lever to the NEUTRAL position and release the parking brake in order to reset the transmission.
