This TIB Replaces The TIB published On September 27, 2000 With The title " Reduction Of Structural Stress On The Circle And Front Frame Assemblies"
Problem:
Damage of the front frame and the circle assembly may occur when the accumulators for the drawbar lift cylinders are turned off. The structural stress on the circle assembly and the front frame may increase up to 25%.
Solution:
Disable the ability to turn off the accumulators. Use the following instructions to remove the solenoids for the deactivation of the accumulators.
- 1. Disconnect plug (A) of the existing solenoid valve (B) from the connector of the existing wiring harness (C).
- 2. Install two 8T-8757 Pins (5) into one 155-2269 Plug As (4). Install the plug assembly on the connector of the existing wiring harness (C).
- 3. Use an 8L-8413 Cable Strap in order to secure the connector to the wiring harness (C).
- 4. Remove the existing solenoid valve (B) from the manifold (D).
- 5. Install a 9S-4181 O-Ring Plug (1) and a 7M-8485 O-ring Seal (2) into the port of the manifold (D). 6. Repeat Step 1 through Step 5 for the other side of the machine.
