NOTE: | This Containment Program can be administered either before or after a failure occurs. In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer and service rep. Obtain the service reps Goodwill Approver Code before completing the repair. EAME dealers should use their standard Industry Group specific goodwill approval codes. The Goodwill Approver Code must be included when submitting the claim. |
NOTE: | When reporting the repair, use "PS90628" as the Part Number and "7777" as the Group Number. If administered before failure, use "56" as Warranty Claim Description and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. If administered after failure, use "96" as Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code. |

PROBLEM
The outer duo-cone seal can leak on certain 777D Off-Highway Trucks. If the existing outer duo-cone seal leaks, brake cooling oil will leak into the wheel/rim. If the leak is severe enough, oil may run down the sidewall of the inner tire and onto the ground. |

ACTION REQUIRED
After failure: Remove the leaking seal and replace it with a new 3418543 Inner Seal and 3654922 Outer Duo-Cone Seal. 3854572 is an equivalent seal for 3654922 Outer Duo-Cone Seal and it can also be used if the part is available in stock. For any leaking reported with less than 1000 Hrs on the truck, then a new 3963974 Retainer should be installed to replace an existing 1530196 Retainer with above mentioned Duo-Cone Seal. All leaking photos should be updated in SIMS with the claim. |
