PROBLEM
The existing body can contact the brake cooling manifold on certain 740 and 740B Articulated Trucks. If the existing body comes into contact with the brake cooling manifold, leaks in the brake cooling line and cracking in the underside of the body may occur. |

ACTION REQUIRED
If there is contact between the underside of the body and the top of the manifold for the brake cooling lines, then reposition the channel on the underside of the body to improve clearance between the parts. Refer to Special Instruction, REHS7820, "Rework Procedure for Certain Articulated Truck to Improve Clearance Between Body and Manifold for Brake Cooling Lines". Image 1 shows the general area where the contact might occur. |
