New Caterpillar Monitoring System (CMS) Control Modules are available. The new group will reduce the possibility of logging invalid fault codes and fault codes that cannot be cleared with normal maintenance procedures. The groups also include increased diagnostic filtering for the reduction of excessive logged event codes. The new 158-8711 Control Group is available for all truck applications when used as a dashboard monitoring system. The new 158-8717 Control Group is available for all truck applications when used for control of the Rear Axle Filtration Attachment.

Adaptable To: The new 158-8711 Control Group is a direct replacement for the former 152-2897 Control Group. The 158-8711 Control Group is effective with 769D (5TR963), 771D (6JR285), 773D (7ER905), 775D (6KR356), 777D (3PR927), 777D HAA (2YW99).

The new 158-8717 Control Group is a direct replacement for the former 130-1643 Control Group. The 158-8717 Control Group is effective with 784B (5RK26), 785B (6HK838), 785C HAA (5AZ90) and 789B (7EK682).
