Description of Change: With the introduction of the 1999 model year Rowcrop Challengers, the differential bevel gear and pinion have been changed to reduce overall gear noise.
Adaptable To: The new gears became effective with first production of Challenger 35 (8RD, ADK), Challenger 45 (ABF, 3BK), and Challenger 55 (6NN, AEN) Agricultural Tractors. The improved gears are retrofittable as a set to Challenger 35 (8DN), Challenger 45 (1DR), and Challenger 55 (7DM) Agricultural Tractors. The former parts are no longer serviced individually or as a set. See the table below for the list of parts.
