Revised Torque Settings For Boom Chain Adjusters {6460}

TH63 (3NN, 5WM),
TH83 (3RN),
TH103 (3PN) Telehandlers

Reference: Operation and Maintenance Manuals, SEBU6865-02, SEBU7112, SEBU7071 and SEBU7111.

Description of Change: This article details the correct torque wrench settings for the following:

* The adjusting nut for resetting boom retraction chain tension.
* The adjusting bolt for resetting boom extension chain tension.

1. The adjusting nut, for retensioning the boom retraction chain on TH63 and TH83 machines, should be tightened to a torque setting of 55 N·m (40 lb ft).

2. The adjusting bolt, for retensioning the boom extension chain on TH63 and TH83 machines, should be tightened to a torque setting of 85 N·m (63 lb ft).

3. The adjusting nut, for retensioning the boom retraction chain on TH103 machines, should be tightened to a torque setting of 92 N·m (68 lb ft).

4. The adjusting bolt, for retensioning the boom extension chain on TH103 machines, should be tightened to a torque setting of 138 N·m (100 lb ft).
