The effectivity listed in the article should be applied to the 149-5534 Signal Lamp and the 149-5535 Signal Lamp only. The new brackets, that absorb shock, are effective with D250E (5TN1555) and D300E (7FN838) Articulated Trucks and are adaptable to earlier machines.

Description of Change: Improved stop/tail/turn lamps are now available to provide increased reliability. When used with shock mounted brackets, the lamps will have a longer service life.

Adaptable To: The new 149-5535 Lamp Group replaces the former 117-8352 Lamp Group and the new 149-5534 Lamp Group replaces the former 117-8317 Lamp Group. The improvement is in production with D250E (5TN1336) and D300E (7FN690) Articulated Trucks, and is adaptable to D250E (5TN1-1335) and D300E (7FN1-689) Articulated Trucks.

Illustration 1 depicts the new 149-5535 Lamp Group and 149-5534 Lamp Group. The parts list for both lamp groups is the same and is shown the chart following Illustration 1. Illustrations 2-4 depict several views of the installed lamps and the parts needed to retrofit one truck to the improved lamp groups. Following illustrations 2-4 is a list of parts (and parts callout numbers for the illustrations) required to make the conversion. The former lamps will no longer be serviced.
