Description of Change: New vented wiper seals are now used on front suspension cylinders to prevent oil leaking and contamination.
Adaptable To: The new 143-3673 Seals (Vented Wiper) replace the former 8C-9129 Wiper Seals in the 7U-7230 Cylinder Groups. The new vented wiper seals are effective with D250E (5TN1030) and D300E (7FN501) and are adaptable to earlier machines.
To adapt earlier machines, the following procedure and parts should be used.
Follow the procedures in the above referenced Service Manual to remove both front suspension cylinders. Disassemble and clean them thoroughly.
Replace the former 8C-9129 Wiper Seal with a new 143-3673 Seal (Vented Wiper).
Front Suspension Cylinder
Follow the procedures in the above referenced Service Manual to recharge the suspension pressure and adjust ride height.
