New Brake Valve Groups Have Breather Plug In Vent Port For Air Cylinder Group{4265}

New 149-4131 and 149-4133 Brake Valve Groups are available. The new brake valve groups have a breather plug in the vent port for the air cylinder group. The breather plug prevents contamination of the air cylinder housing.

NOTE: For some machines, it is necessary to replace the former brake valve group with the new brake valve group. See Procedure 1. Replacing Brake Valve Groups.
NOTE: For other machines, the former brake valve group can be replaced, the former air cylinder can be replaced, or the housing of the former air cylinder can be reworked. See Procedure 2. Replacing Brake Valve Groups, Air Cylinder Groups, or Rework Housing for Air Cylinder Groups.
NOTE: Orientation of the new brake valve group, new air cylinder group, or the reworked housing for the former air cylinder group may result in the 150-1285 Plug-Breather (2) pointing up on some models. If so, Install a 8C-8408 Elbow (45 degree), or 6V-9849 Elbow (90 degree) in the end of the 150-1285 Plug-Breather.

Procedure 1. Replacing Brake Valve Groups
 
  768C (02X350-355) Off-Highway Tractors;
  769C (01X2876-3197) Off-Highway Trucks
 
1.  Remove former 1U-2649 Valve Group-Brake.

NOTE: (See illustration and note for orientation of 150-1285 Plug-Breather).

2.  Install new 149-4131 Valve Group-Brake and the following parts: 
One 2R-6806 Connector.
One 3J-1907 Seal-O-ring.
One 3J-7354 Seal-O-ring.
One 6D-4246 Clip.
One 8K-3504 Hose Assembly.
One 030-3978 Connector.
One 030-7962 Elbow.
 
  768C (02X356-359) Off-Highway Tractors;
  769C (01X3198-4933) Off-Highway Trucks
 
1.  Remove former 9T-2175 Valve Group-Brake and 8S-9089 Bolt.

NOTE: (See illustration and note for orientation of 150-1285 Plug-Breather).

2.  Install new 149-4131 Valve Group-Brake and 1B-2886 Bolt.

1.  Remove former 1U-2649 Valve Group-Brake.

2.  Install new 149-4131 Valve Group-Brake and the following parts: 
One 030-8189 Connector.
One 030-7963 Elbow.
One 6D-4246 Clip.
One 5P-4295 Clip.
One 3J-7354 Seal-O-ring.
One 3D-2824 Seal-O-ring.
One 0S-1620 Bolt.
One 030-3978 Connector.
One 9V-2124 Hose Assembly.
One 6K-9194 Elbow.
One 6D-4246 Clip.
Two 5P-8245 Washers.

1.  Remove former 9T-2175 Valve Group-Brake.

2.  Install new 149-4131 Valve Group-Brake, 4D-2560 Connector, and 1B-2886 Bolt.

2.  Install new 149-4131 Valve Group-Brake and the following parts: 
One 030-7962 Elbow.
One 030-3978 Connector.
One 9D-6048 Hose Assembly.
One 6K-9194 Elbow.
One 3J-7354 Seal-O-ring.
One 3J-1907 Seal-O-ring.
One 2R-6806 Connector.
Two 6D-4246 Clips.
Two 5M-2894 Washers.
Two 4S-4455 Clips.
Two 0S-0509 Bolts.
Two 1D-4717 Nuts.

1.  Remove former 9T-2174 Valve Group-Brake and 8S-9089 Bolt.

2.  Install new 149-4131 Valve Group-Brake and 1B-2886 Bolt.

1.  Remove former 9T-2174 Valve Group-Brake and 8S-9089 Bolt.

2.  Install new 149-4131 Valve Group-Brake, 1B-2886 Bolt, and 4S-7606 Elbow.

1.  Remove former 1U-2646 Valve Group-Brake.

2.  Install new 149-4131 Valve Group-Brake and the following parts: 
One 030-3978 Connector.
One 9G-4432 Hose Assembly.
One 6K-9194 Elbow.
One 3J-7354 Seal-O-ring
One 3J-1907 Seal-O-ring.
One 2R-6806 Connector.
One 1B-2886 Bolt.
One 0L-1143 Bolt.
Two 1D-4717 Nuts.
Two 1D-4719 Nuts.
Three 0L-1351 Bolts.
Three 4S-4455 Clips.
Three 6D-4246 Clips.
Five 5M-2894 Washers.

1.  Remove former 9T-2174 Valve Group-Brake and 8S-9089 Bolt.

2.  Install new 149-4131 Valve Group-Brake and 1B-2886 Bolt.

1.  Remove former 9T-2174 Valve Group-Brake and 8S-9089 Bolt.

2.  Install new 149-4131 Valve Group-Brake, 1B-2886 Bolt, and 4D-2560 Connector.



Procedure 2. Replacing Valve Group-Brakes, Air Cylinder Groups, Or Rework Housing For Air Cylinder Groups

*  Replace Brake Valve Group.
 
1.  Remove former 9T-4769 Valve Group-Brake.

NOTE: (See illustration and note for orientation of 150-1285 Plug-Breather).

2.  Install new 149-4131 Valve Group-Brake. 


*  Replace Air Cylinder Group.
 
1.  Remove former 9T-7204 Cylinder Group-Air (from 9T-4769 Valve Group-Brake). 
2.  Install new 149-4130 Cylinder Group-Air and 150-1285 Plug-Breather).

*  Rework Housing of Air Cylinder Group.

2.  Install new 149-4130 Cylinder Group-Air and 150-1285 Plug-Breather).
