--------------- END SUPPLEMENT ---------------

Description of Change: Balance grooves have been added to the 8.5 mm (.34 in) fuel pump plungers in the above machines powered by 3208 Engines. The balance grooves eliminate plunger and sleeve scuffing associated with poor quality fuels. Plunger scuffing can cause governor instability due to the change in fuel delivery from one cylinder to another, or from increased sleeve to plunger friction.

The balance grooves improve fuel pump life (especially with low lubricity fuels) and fuel delivery is unaffected.

Adaptable To: The 9N-5825 8.5 mm (.34 in) Fuel Pump Plunger is improved, effective with the fuel injection pump serial number (114692-Up). The improvement is adaptable to 1W-3010, 4W-5868, 7W-8040, 4P-4259, 9N-5857, 1W-3009 and 7C-8927 Fuel Injection Pump Assemblies.
