Usage:
918F (3TJ, 2CK, 5DL),
928F (8AK, 2XL, 7YM) Wheel Loaders;
IT18F (6ZF, 5EJ),
IT24F (4NN, 6KN) Integrated Toolcarriers
Description of Change: A new margin spring for the pressure compensator valve is necessary to change the margin pressure from 2800 ± 100 kPa (405 ± 15 psi) to 3600 ± 100 kPa (520 ± 15 psi) to provide a stable pressure setting for the implement pump groups.
Adaptable To: The following pump groups have new service part numbers for the implement pump groups, the pressure compensator valve groups, and the margin spring: 9T-7157, 9T-7158, 9T-7178, 9T-7179, 103-6079, and 114-3091. See the illustrations and chart for service parts.
NOTE: All earlier pressure compensator valves can be updated by replacing the former 9T-6858 Margin Spring with the new 130-3922 Margin Spring. Changing the margin pressure setting to 3600 ± 100 kPa (520 ± 15 psi) when using the new spring updates the implement pump group to the new pump part number.
Margin spring specifications:
- Former 9T-6858 Spring (Red):
- 24.8 mm (.97 in) Free Length
- 9.8 mm (.39 in) O.D.
- 24.8 mm (.97 in) Free Length
- New 130-3922 Margin Spring:
- 25.0 mm (.98 in) Free Length
- 10.5 mm (.41 in) O.D.
- 25.0 mm (.98 in) Free Length
