Steering Tank Screen Is Furnace Brazed For Longer Service Life{4332,5068}

Description of Change: A new screen is now used in the steering tank. The new screen is furnace brazed during assembly. The furnace brazed assembly will provide longer service life. The former screen could fail because of high oil temperatures. A failed screen would allow oil to bypass the filter at all pressures and allow debris to enter the steering system.
Adaptable To: The new 118-8693 Screen is in effect with 793B (1HL206) Truck and 789B (7EK282) Truck. The 118-8693 Screen is a direct replacement for the former 9T-1016 Screen which is canceled. The 118-8693 Screen can also be used in 990F Loaders.
New 118-8693 Screen is furnace brazed at Locations A and B.
