Usage:
AP-1050 Asphalt Pavers
The grade/slope connector on the right hand side of the above machine may be wired incorrectly. If the connector is wired incorrectly, the "GRADE" control will operate normally, but the "SLOPE" control will operate opposite of what it should.
To test the system, plug the slope control into the right side "GRADE/SLOPE" connector. With the system in "AUTO", rotate the knob on the remote set point in a clockwise direction. The tow point cylinder should go down. If it goes up, the plug is wired incorrectly. See the following procedure and illustration.
A continuity tester can also be used to test the system. On the right hand connector, there should be a complete circuit (short) between pins (C) and (F), and between pins (D) and (E). If these results are not obtained, the connector is wired incorrectly. See the following procedure and illustration.
Location of affected wires. Cut the wires in this area (large arrow).
1. Cut four wires: two labeled "A898BU", and two labeled "A986BU".
2. Use crimp or solder splices to connect the cut wires as follows.
- "A898BU" to connector pin "C".
- "A898BU" to connector pin "F".
- "A986Bu" to connector pin "D".
- "A986Bu" to connector pin "E".
- "A898BU" to connector pin "F".
