Usage:
1. Drain the oil from the oil pan.
2. Remove the bolts that hold elbow (4) and bracket (3) to the oil pan.
3. Remove the bolts that hold elbow (1) to the oil pump. Remove elbow (1), tube (2) and elbow (4) as an assembly.
4. Disconnect electrical connection (5) from the oil pan.
5. Remove the bolts and retainers that hold tube (6) in position in the oil cooler.
6. Remove the bolts and clips (11) that hold tube (6) to the oil pan. Remove tube (6) from adapter, (9) and the oil cooler.
7. Disconnect tube assembly (7) from the oil pan.
8. Remove the bolts that hold tube assembly (8) to the oil pan, and remove the tube assembly. Disconnect hose (13) and electrical connection (14) from the oil pan.
9. Remove the bolts that hold oil pan (12), and use two persons to remove the oil pan from the engine. The weight of oil pan (12) is:
a. 29 kg (64 lb) for 3512 EUI engines.
b. 45 kg (99 lb) for 3516 EUI engines.
10. Remove the bolts that hold oil pan (10), and use a suitable lifting device to remove it from the engine. The weight of oil pan (10) is:
a. 43 kg (95 lb) for 3512 EUI engines.
b. 58 kg (128 lb) for 3516 EUI engines.
NOTE: The following steps are for installation of the oil pan.
11. Make sure the gaskets are in position. Put 7M7260 Liquid Gasket Material on all gasket joints.
12. Use a suitable lifting device and put oil pan (10) in position under the front of the engine. Install the bolts that hold the oil pan to the engine.
13. Use two persons, and put oil pan (12) in position under the rear of the engine. Install the bolts that hold oil pan (12) to the engine and oil pan (10).
14. Connect tube assembly (7), hose (13), and electrical connection (14) to the oil pan.
15. Put tube assembly (8) in position in the oil pan, and install the two bolts that hold it.
16. Put tube (6) in position in the oil cooler and elbow (9). Install clips (11) and the bolts that hold tube (6) to the oil pan.
17. Install the retainers and bolts that hold tube (6) in the oil cooler.
18. Connect electrical connection (5).
19. Put elbow (4), tube (2), elbow (1) and bracket (3) in position, and install the bolts that hold them in place.
20. Fill the engine with oil to the correct level. See the Operation & Maintenance Manual.
