Usage:
NOTE: This control valve is used on the following models and serial numbers: 416B 8SG1-UP, 8ZK1-UP, 426B 5YJ1-UP 428B 7EJ1-UP 436B 6MJ1-UP 438B 3KK1-UP.
1. Remove the floor plate from over the transmission.
2. Disconnect linkage (1) and wiring harness (5).
3. Remove the two bolts, and move bracket (2) away from the transmission control valve.
4. Remove remaining bolts (3) to remove transmission control valve (4). Inspect the gasket under the transmission control valve.
NOTE: For installation of the transmission control valve, use the reverse order of Steps 1 through 4.
Disassemble And Assemble Transmission Control Valve
Start By:
a. remove transmission control valve
1. Remove neutralizer solenoid (1), neutralizer valve (3) and spring (4). Remove plug (5) and seal (2). Inspect the O-ring seal on the neutralizer solenoid.
2. Slowly and carefully remove bolts (13) and the cover because of the force of springs (9). Remove load piston (12), springs (9), relief valve (8) and spring (7). Remove manifold (6). Remove ball check (11) and spring (10) from manifold (6). Inspect gasket on valve body.
3. Remove plug (17), seal (15), spring (16) and detent assembly (14).
4. Remove plug (20), seal (19) and flow control valve (18).
5. Remove retainer ring (21). Remove bolt (22) and the washer.
6. Remove rotary check valve (23) from the valve body.
7. Remove plug (25), O-ring seal (26), adapter (24) and seal (27) from the valve body.
NOTE: Use the reverse order of Steps 1 through 7 for the assembly of the transmission control valve.
