Parking Brake Release Pump

Usage:

Remove & Install Parking Brake Release Pump (Electric)

NOTE: The brake retraction pump is serviced as an assembly.

1. Drain the oil from the hydraulic tank.

2. Disconnect hose assembly (1) from the check valve.

3. Disconnect two hose assemblies (4).

4. Mark for identification and disconnect wires (3) and (5) from the pump.

5. Remove the bolts that hold pump (2) and the plate to the frame. Remove the pump and plate as an assembly.

6. If necessary, remove the plate and the check valve from the pump.

NOTE: The following steps are for installation of the brake retraction pump.

7. If the plate was removed from the pump. Install the plate on the pump.

8. If the check valve was removed from the pump, make sure the O-ring seals are in position on the check valve. Install the check valve with the arrow away from the pump.

9. Put the plate and brake retraction pump in position as an assembly, and install the bolts that hold them in place on the frame.

10. Connect the hose assembly to fitting (4).

11. Connect hose assembly (1) to the check valve.

12. Connect wires (3) and (5) to the brake retractor pump.

13. Fill the steering hydraulic tank with oil to the correct level. See the Operation & Maintenance Manual.
